Define Analysis

Pro/Mechanica provides a series of different analysis types, the most commonly used is static. As the name applies, it examines the response of the model to a static load.

Analysis > Mechanica Analysis/Studies

In case the model contains more than one constraint set, only one set can be selected. However, it is possible to combine several load sets.

Convergence is the method by which the quality of a result can be judged. In a multi-pass adaptive analysis, Pro/Mechanica will selectively increase the polynomial order of elements that have not converged to within the specified limits on the criteria selected. If an analysis does not converge properly, it is recommended to decrease the element size and check the model for singularites (loads and constraints attached to points and or curves/edges may cause stress concentration and could cause convergence to fail).
