This year, teams are building robots to race through a labyrinth, locate a quaffle (white ball), detect a secret code, transmit the secret code to unlock a door, and be the first to put their quaffle in the Goblet of Utah. They will be racing against a team competing simultaenously on a mirror-image labyrinth. This fall, students will focus on building their robot, and will implement sensors to allow detect the wall, and to locate and pick up the quaffle. In December, they will demonstrate their robots on a shortened course, as shown below. |
