Create Surface Region
Pro/ENGINEER -> Application -> Mechanica
Then enter the structure mode
Mechanica -> Structure -> Features
-> Surf Region -> Create

Select one of the datum curves outling the area of the
surface region to be created.

Then select the surface from which the surface is to
be created (in this case the cylindrical surface)

Repeat the above steps for the remaining two surface
regions and then apply boundary conditions and loads to the regions
created.

The stress distribution of such a pin would then look
